Welcome to One Khata Book. Your trust is our top priority, which is why we have designed this App with a strict privacy-first, on-device design. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data when you use the One Khata Book mobile application ("the App").

Because the App operates as an on-device utility, your business data, ledgers, and invoices never leave your phone.

1. Zero Off-Device Data Collection (On-Device Processing)

Unlike traditional accounting apps, One Khata Book processes and stores your business records locally:

• Ledger & Customer Data: All customer names, contact numbers, transaction logs, and credit/debit balances that you input are stored strictly in your device's local private storage.

• Invoices: Generated PDF invoices are compiled entirely on-device and shared directly by you via your phone's native sharing options (like WhatsApp, email, or system print).

• No Cloud Syncing: We do not host, transmit, or back up your financial ledger or customer data to any external cloud databases or servers.

2. Device Permissions We Request

To function properly as a local business tool, the App may require the following system permissions:

• Storage / Files: To save generated PDF invoices directly to your device so you can view, print, or share them.

• Contacts (Optional): To allow you to easily select existing contacts from your phonebook when creating local customer ledger profiles. This data is processed locally and is never sent to us.

3. Third-Party Services

Because this app runs locally:

• We do not include tracking SDKs, advertising networks, or analytics tools that collect, harvest, or transmit your business activity to third parties.

• Any sharing actions you initiate (such as sending a PDF invoice via WhatsApp or Email) are handled externally by those respective applications under their own privacy policies.

4. Data Security & Control

• You Are in Control: Because all data is stored on-device, your data safety depends on your physical device security. If you uninstall the App or clear its storage directory, all local ledger entries and generated records will be permanently deleted from your phone.

• Data Recovery: Because we do not store your data on external servers, we cannot recover your ledger history if your device is lost, stolen, or damaged. We encourage users to manually back up their exported PDF files securely.

5. Children's Privacy

The App is intended solely for business management and is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from children.

6. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in local laws or app features. Any updates will be posted directly to this page with an updated "Effective Date."
